Hello! My name is Stacey Mahoney. I’m Harmony’s School Therapist. One of the many things I do in my role is provide families with resources to support the mental health needs of their student. While I do meet with families and students one on one, I like to provide resources for everyone periodically through the school year.
While we have already moved through September and October, running full steam into November, I wanted to call out the national attention that brought awareness to the salient issues surrounding substance use and recovery during the last two months.
- September marks an acknowledgement of National Recovery Month.
- October marks an acknowledgement of Substance Use Prevention Month.
While at a national level, these issues get a monthly spotlight, we hold the focus and care of these needs on a year-round basis at Harmony.

Please let me know if you have any questions or would like to discuss your student’s individualized needs.
